Author Thomas Lehrich to Visit Vail Public Library for Children’s Storytime and Book Signing.
Red Barn Author Matt Robinson participates at the Tulane New Orleans Book Festival
Red Barn Publishing is excited to announce that children’s author Thomas Lehrich will be visiting the Vail Public Library on March 18th, for a storytime and book signing, celebrating all Red Barn’s books and his children’s series The Adventures of Backpacker Billy and Shave in Colorado.
Backpacker Billy and Shave is written especially for readers ages 3–8. Lehrich’s Rocky Mountain–inspired stories introduce young adventurers to the beauty of Colorado through friendly characters, playful learning, and outdoor exploration. In these colorful tales, children follow Backpacker Billy and Shave as they trek through alpine meadows, snowy peaks, and forest trails.
One of the highlights of the series is the Rocky Mountain story featuring Colorado Darren, an exceptional young skier and explorer who loves discovering the mountains. Along the way, he meets two memorable animal friends: Jer the Bear, a kind and helpful black bear who knows the forest trails, and Ben the Bighorn Sheep, a sure-footed mountain guide. Together they explore streams, wildflowers, and scenic mountain passes, encouraging children to appreciate animals and nature.

Families visiting the library will have the chance to meet Thomas Lehrich, hear about the inspiration behind The Adventures of Backpacker Billy, and have their books signed by the author. Young readers are encouraged to bring their curiosity and their love of mountain adventures. Tom is also donating books to the libraries in the Town of Vail. Matt Robinson along with his new book, Pete’s Beat is headed to New Orleans. A perfect match for his children’s book of musical discovery. Red Barn Publishing invites New Orleans book lovers at the Festival to meet Matt. We know Matt an author and a TV series host will make an excellent impact at the festival.
Red Barn is trotting the globe. Next- follow Red Barn in California and coming soon Monkey and the Engineer. The Grateful Dead fans both kids and adults are lining up for copies of the hit story.
